Kepak St. Merryn in Bodmin is a beef processing facility. We offer beef products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We are currently looking for a Quality Controller who has some knowledge within a food manufacturing environment. This is a full time, permanent position working from 6.00am to production finish, Monday to Friday.
Role Description:
You will be working at the Critical Control Point (CCP) stand facility. This is a critical role ensuring that all production processes meet the required standards and comply with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and inspect all aspects of the production process to ensure compliance with CCP standards
- Conduct regular checks and tests to ensure that all products meet the required specifications and quality standards
- Identify and address any quality issues or defects in a timely manner
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality inspections and tests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any quality-related concerns and implement process improvements as necessary
