Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Senior Allocations Analyst, you are responsible for the strategic planning and execution of in-season allocation and replenishment strategies, including sales and inventory analysis for brand stores. You oversee inventory level management to ensure that stores have the right amount of relevant products available to customers at the appropriate time. You support and partner with the leadership team and are the first to take on strategic, business driving thinking and projects.
This role is based out our Garching office (near Munich) and on hybrid mode (2 days in the office, 2 days at home and, 1 day at the discretion of the manager). Candidates must be eligible to work in Germany.

The EMEA Retail Allocations team is a group whose focus is to continuously drive sales, by mitigating inventory risks and finding the balance between the right product at the right quantity in the right place at the right time.
If you were the Senior Allocations Analyst now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Managing the overall Allocation process for EMEA brand stores - from initial allocation to replenishment to the time of exit.
- Collaborating with the Allocations Leadership team to lead in mastery and lead others ensuring a strong culture of growth and development.
- Working with the Retail Allocations Analysts and Retail Allocations Lead to run EMEA Brand Store fleet’s product allocations.
- Supporting the mentorship and coaching of your Analyst peers.
- Collaborating with new store opening teams to facilitate smooth stock reservation, reporting and delivery for an increasing number of brand stores.
- Analyzing store level inventory and sales to determine trends and maximize sales opportunities on a weekly basis.
- Making recommendations on assortment and product to our global merch team based on sales data and store feedback.
- Identifying and highlighting any concerns in inventory levels and immediately investigating solutions.
- Communication to the store fleet to ensure they are aware of product flow, replenishment flow, and any deviation or changes to the plan.
- Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide insight into retail allocation functions, forecasts and processes.
- Helping to identify regional shortages and overages to the Merchandising, Merch Planning, and Commercial teams.
- Creating return authorizations at the end of a product’s lifecycle to send product back to the distribution centers or an outlet location.
- Liaising with the warehouse teams to help coordinate smooth replenishment and seasonal product drops.
- Identifying issues and gaps in process and supporting the team to help find resolutions, and driving resolutions that maximise positive business impact.
- Assisting with preparation of reports and historical re-caps to analyze and communicate business or allocations performance.
- Partnering with Merchants, Visual Merchandise Planners, and the Store Design team to ensure new store opening timing is aligned and a work back plan is in place for Allocation.
- Supporting the team with additional tasks as required to help achieve company objectives. Supporting and partnering with the Retail Allocations Lead on additional tasks and overarching strategies of the Allocations function.
- Providing weekly product category and store performance insights to merchandising, brand and commercial partners
- Traveling as required for store visits, trainings, and meetings (2-3 times / year).

- Participating in the vendor selection process for new MP&A tools
- Managing the flow of inventory to an increasing regional portfolio
- Balancing the seasonal assortment vision of the merchant team, the needs of individual stores, and our available inventory.
- Acting as the initial point of contact for cross functional partners who want to work with the Allocations Analyst team or require information from our business area
- Collaborating with leadership and instructional designers to develop and maintain SOPs and our operational playbook
Are you our next Senior Allocations Analyst?
- You have 5+ years in a planning, allocations, or merchandising environment
- You have an interest in following the pathway to a formal leadership role
- You have a strong understanding of the European Retail market, ideally in the Outdoor industry
- You thrive in a fast-paced, ever changing retail environment
- You can identify and communicate key business insights to management and peers
- You have strong data analysis skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Excel
- You have a love of retail and an ability to always stay consumer focused
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You possess strong professional English proficiency, any other European language is a plus
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
