About the Role
At SURI, digital advertising is central to our growth. It’s the first point of discovery for millions of our future customers, and a core part of how they learn about SURI and our award-winning products. We strive to create advertising that cuts through the clutter, not through clickbait or gimmicks, but through narratives that pique curiosity and tell our story engagingly. We want people to enjoy our ads, feel like they’ve learnt or questioned something, and be motivated to make a change.
As Senior Creative Strategist & Copywriter, you’ll own our advertising creative from concept to execution — leading big-picture ad strategy, shaping our messaging architecture, and producing the kind of work that builds a brand as well as a business. You’ll also manage and mentor our Junior Creative Strategist & Copywriter, setting the creative standard across the team.
This is not a traditional DTC performance role. We’re looking for someone with a strong agency creative foundation who is excited to apply that craft to a high-growth consumer brand.
What You’ll Do
- Lead advertising creative strategy — own the creative direction for ad creative across all channels, including TV/video, upper funnel brand work, and paid social.
- Drive messaging strategy — develop and maintain SURI advertising voice, tone, and messaging frameworks
- Write exceptional copy — produce high-quality scripts, headlines, and ad copy that balance brand and performance
- Manage and develop junior — oversee the Junior Creative Strategist’s output, provide creative direction, and support their development to ensure we build a best-in-class creative function.
- Own ad sequencing and creative feedback — guide editing direction, clip selection, and creative iteration
- Collaborate with channel managers — work closely with the performance and brand team to ensure creative is optimised for results
