Join DOF as our Senior Import/Export Coordinator

The Senior Import/Export Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and executing complex international logistics activities to ensure the compliant, timely, and cost‑effective movement of goods across global markets. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert in trade compliance, customs regulations, and international transportation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate end‑to‑end import and export operations for high‑value, time‑sensitive, or regulated shipments.
  • Prepare, review, and approve all required international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and export declarations.
  • Collaborate with Legal to ensure full compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, including CBP, EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and other governing bodies.
  • Perform advanced product classification using HTS and ECCN codes; maintain classification databases and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to resolve escalated issues.
  • Monitor global trade regulatory changes and advise management on potential impacts to operations.
  • Lead investigations and resolution of complex shipment delays, customs holds, and compliance discrepancies.
  • Support internal audits, external audits, and trade compliance assessments; maintain accurate and complete records for regulatory retention.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance to support sourcing decisions, inventory planning, and cost control initiatives.
  • Analyze freight spend, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and recommend process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior logistics or import/export staff.
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects related to supply chain optimization, system enhancements, and compliance initiatives.
