About the RoleReporting to the Controller, the Senior Manager of Revenue and Financial Reporting owns revenue accounting and financial reporting end to end. You will be our technical owner for revenue under ASC 606, partner with the Deal Desk and Legal teams to keep contracts clean and scalable, and stand up the reporting stack that produces full GAAP financials with minimal manual effort.
This is a high-ownership role on a small, senior team. You will architect and automate processes rather than simply operate them, and your work will directly shape how CodeRabbit scales toward audit and IPO readiness.
What You’ll OwnRevenue Recognition & Deferred Revenue
Own end-to-end revenue recognition under ASC 606 across subscription, usage-based, and enterprise arrangements.
Maintain deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and the supporting documentation behind them.
Own Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO) reporting — tracking, reconciling, and disclosing contracted revenue not yet recognized.
Record revenue in the P&L and partner with the general ledger owner on cost-center mapping and structure.
Establish and document scalable revenue policies that hold up as SKUs and contract complexity grow.
Deal Desk & Contract Partnership
Partner with the Deal Desk, Sales, and Legal teams during contract negotiations to understand
how terms trigger revenue recognition.
Advise on non-standard terms before signature to prevent downstream billing and revenue-
recognition issues.
Partner with the Deal Desk to keep deal structures commercially flexible yet operationally
scalable.
Ensure quotes and pricing flow cleanly from the CPQ system through ChargeBee billing and
into revenue.
Financial Reporting & Close
Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting and the production of full GAAP financial statements.
Select and implement the reporting and close tooling, leveraging modern automation to keep
reporting lean.
Drive a timely, accurate revenue close; partner with FP&A on allocations and budget-based reporting.
Deliver clear, decision-ready reporting to leadership, investors, and (eventually) external
auditors.
Systems, Automation & Scale
Help select and implement finance systems that integrate cleanly via APIs.
Use modern and AI-enabled tooling to automate manual accounting and reporting work.
Build and mentor a junior team member over time to create redundancy and depth across the function.
