We are looking for a creative, design-led Social Media Executive to join our Group Socials team.

Reporting to the Digital Content Marketing Manager, you will help plan, design, create and publish social media content across our global group channels, with a focus on LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube.

A core part of the role will be creating polished, social-first visual assets that are on brand, publish-ready and suitable for reuse across markets. You will bring our company story to life through strong visual storytelling across colleagues, customers, innovation, sustainability and leadership content.

Key responsibilities

Content planning, graphic design and creation

  • Design high-quality, on-brand social assets, including static graphics, carousels, simple infographics, quote tiles, thumbnails and short-form video assets.
  • Use Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar tools to create polished, publish-ready content that follows brand templates and design guidelines.
  • Turn corporate stories, ESG updates, innovation content, employer brand activity and leadership messages into clear, engaging social-first visuals.
  • Develop reusable templates and content series that markets can adapt while staying on brand.
  • Draft clear social copy that supports the visual asset and reflects the group tone of voice.
  • Repurpose press releases, case studies, blogs and internal stories into design-led social formats.
  • Success will be measured by stronger design quality, fewer reworks, greater consistency, stronger engagement with visual formats and increased reuse of Group templates and assets.

Channel management and community

  • Schedule, publish and quality-check posts across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and other agreed platforms.
  • Check image crops, thumbnails, captions, links and platform-specific formatting before posts go live.
  • Monitor comments, messages and mentions, flagging issues and responding where appropriate.
  • Maintain content calendars and ensure posts are delivered on time.
  • Review competitor and social trends, bringing forward ideas for visual formats, design treatments and content series to test.

Collaboration and campaigns

  • Work with the Digital Team, Corporate Communications, HR, Sustainability and regional marketing teams to source stories, imagery, footage and creative inputs.
  • Support paid and organic campaigns by designing, resizing and adapting social assets so they are on-brief and ready for activation.
  • Help maintain and improve social media guidelines, design templates and best-practice playbooks.
  • Manage drafts, feedback and version control through the approvals process.

Performance and reporting

  • Track performance metrics including reach, impressions, engagement, clicks, followers and video views.
  • Identify which creative formats, thumbnails, layouts and content series perform best.
  • Run simple A/B-style tests where possible, such as different thumbnails, hooks, layouts, copy or formats.
  • Share clear learnings with the team and wider markets to improve future content and design decisions.

Governance and brand consistency

  • Ensure all posts and assets follow Rentokil Initial and local brand guidelines, including tone of voice, layout, typography, image treatment, accessibility and legal/compliance requirements.
  • Maintain clear asset libraries, templates, naming conventions and design guidance so content is easy for markets to find, reuse and adapt.
