We at Coforge are hiring Position (21628 with the following skill set.

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with 6+ years of professional experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in banking or financial services environments, along with strong experience supporting critical production systems and enterprise applications.

This role requires hands-on Java development expertise, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure production environments. The candidate will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, operations, and business teams to maintain and enhance mission-critical financial applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support enterprise Java applications and services.
  • Provide production support for critical business applications in financial environments.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business teams.
  • Develop scalable and maintainable backend solutions using Java and related frameworks.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Monitor application performance, system stability, and operational health.
  • Support deployment activities and participate in release processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability, monitoring, and operational support.
  • Participate in on-call rotations when required.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
  • Experience working in banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments.
  • Strong experience providing production support for enterprise applications.
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot development.
  • Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues related to performance, scalability, and system stability.
  • Understanding of incident management and root cause analysis processes.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes or operational support frameworks.
