At Gallatin, we are rebuilding logistics infrastructure for the national security missions of the United States and allied partners. We build AI systems that determine how logistics decisions are made — not just how they're executed. From factory to foxhole, we operate at the layer where data becomes decisions, and decisions make the advantage.
About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to own the technical side of how Navigator gets built, from the architecture conversation through the clean handoff to engineering. Navigator turns tactical-to-strategic sustainment data into decisions, and it only works when product intent and technical reality stay aligned across partner integrations and government systems of record.
You will sit between product and engineering and make sure both halves stay tightly aligned on what we are building and how. This is a hands-on-the-architecture role: you keep specs honest against the system, surface technical constraints early, and prevent the rebuilds that come from calls made too soon. Your focus is the integrity of the build and the handoff, partnering closely with engineers on the how and with product on the what, so that nothing gets lost in the gap between what we decided and what shipped.
What You'll Do
Shape Technical Product Strategy
Guide product decisions with architectural insight, so we commit to designs the system can actually support.
Partner with product and design early, turning “what if” into “here is how” before a sprint is on the line.
Champion technical excellence while keeping the team fast.
Bridge Domains
Be the technical voice in product debates and the product voice in technical ones.
Translate Navigator’s integration surface, including partner systems like Anduril Lattice and Palantir Foundry and government systems of record like Maven Smart System, GCSS-Army, Vantage, and ADVANA, into requirements engineering can build against.
Run the pre-development sessions where product intent meets technical constraint and drive them to a real decision.
Ship Products That Matter
Own the technical side of the lifecycle from concept through deployment, with clean handoffs and clear success criteria.
Write specs that hold up against the architecture and do not drift mid-build.
Jump into sprint planning and stand-ups to unblock the team and make real-time trade-offs.
What We’re Looking For
3 to 5 years of software development experience, with a focus on systems thinking and architecture.
Proven ability to dive deep into technical specs and explain complex concepts to non-technical partners.
Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and modern development practices.
A track record working closely with both product and engineering, holding the line between technical excellence and shipping value.
Comfort with agile methodologies and modern collaboration tools.
Strong written and verbal communication, especially translating between domains.
U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Experience integrating with enterprise or government systems of record, or with partner platforms in a multi-vendor environment.
Data platform experience; Advana or Palantir Foundry knowledge is a strong plus.
Exposure to defense, logistics, or mission-critical B2B systems.
A knack for making complex systems feel simple to users.
Mission and Identity
We are building the system that enables faster, smarter logistics decisions in contested environments, and we're doing it with a team of seasoned entrepreneurs, operators, and technologists who have built and scaled solutions in this space before. We hold ourselves to an extremely high standard. We value clear thinking, direct communication, and the kind of ownership that doesn't stop until something actually works.
Our mission is to create decision advantage when the stakes are the highest. If we succeed, the system doesn't just run; it gets smarter. We're not building AI for its own sake. We're building it because faster, smarter decisions in the most demanding environments on earth can't wait. If you want to work somewhere the stakes are real and the mission is urgent — you'll fit in here.
Why Gallatin? The logistics infrastructure that supports America's warfighters and humanitarian disaster responders is overdue for transformation, and we are building it. From defense operations to disaster response, we're solving the hardest problems that keep missions moving when it matters most. Join a team where the mission is the point.
