Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Underwriter to join a fast-growing financial services team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and processing financial applications, inputting and verifying data with a high degree of accuracy, and ensuring all underwriting decisions meet established guidelines and compliance standards. This is a precision-focused role suited for someone who takes pride in getting the details right.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate financial applications and supporting documentation

  • Input and maintain accurate data across underwriting systems and platforms

  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of submitted information

  • Assess risk and ensure decisions align with established underwriting guidelines

  • Flag discrepancies, inconsistencies, or missing information for resolution

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing and timely turnaround

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records for all cases

  • Adhere to compliance standards and internal policies at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in financial underwriting or a related data-intensive financial role

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and manage a consistent workload

  • Excellent written and spoken English for US client-facing communication

  • Comfortable working US Eastern hours on a full-time basis

  • Prior remote work experience; candidates without demonstrated remote work experience will not be considered

  • Experience working with US-based clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in financial services, lending, insurance, or credit

  • Familiarity with underwriting software and financial data platforms

  • Experience working in a high-volume, process-driven environment
