We're searching for someone to own and scale the engine that makes Kognity world-leading in AI-powered learning content, building the application layer for education while driving a step-change in how high-quality content is created, delivered, and experienced globally.

Education changes lives. But tech hasn’t lived up to its promise for the more than 1 billion students in school around the world, at least not yet. At Kognity, we’re here to change that.

We’re a 125-person EdTech scale-up powering learning in 120+ countries. Our intelligent platform replaces traditional textbooks and combines rich, interactive pedagogy with smart AI and data to help students and teachers thrive, from international schools to US high schools.

Why join Kognity?

  • Work on problems that matter – Your work directly influences the lives of teachers and students in over 100 countries. The scale is global, and the outcomes are tangible.

  • High ownership, high expectations – You are trusted to take initiative, make decisions and drive outcomes. Responsibility comes early, accountability is real, and results matter.

  • A fast-moving, high-performing team – You will work with smart, driven colleagues across the globe on complex problems. Standards and expectations are high, feedback is direct, and the pace is fast.

  • Continuous growth is the baseline – Everyone is expected and supported to learn quickly, improve constantly and raise their own bar. If you enjoy responsibility, momentum and meaningful challenge, you will thrive here.

What you’ll do:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of rapidly advancing our AI-driven content generation capabilities to deliver scalable, standards-aligned, quality-assured educational content of different modalities - text, assessment, images, videos, interactives - for internal use in Kognity’s product as well as for external partners.

  • Define and execute a credible path to generating a full textbook in under a week at full quality, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI

  • Build, evolve, and lead the Content Engine organisation, including its structure, culture, and ways of working

  • Continuously hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team aligned with Kognity’s leadership principles

  • Position Kognity at the forefront of the AI application layer for learning content, including engaging with leading global publishers to redefine how content is created and distributed

What we’re looking for:

  • A deep passion for AI and a solid understanding of how AI workflows, evaluation frameworks, and LLM-as-judge systems work in practice, combined with a drive to experiment with emerging tools and models.

  • A track record of driving results and building high-performing engineering teams in fast-moving, technically complex environments, with the operational discipline to turn ambitious goals into executed plans.

An entrepreneurial mindset: you're comfortable with ambiguity, you think at the level of the whole problem, and you close the gap between vision and delivery quickly.

Strong communication across all levels, from engineering teams to leadership and external partners, with the ability to represent complex technical work clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
