Cotswold Energy Group is an exciting, profitable company within a large growth sector supplying decarbonisation solutions to the domestic and commercial markets.

The company was founded by three childhood friends with the ethos of providing straightforward, transparent solutions to help customers harness the benefits of renewable technologies. As we have grown this ethos has stayed at the heart of how we operate, and we promote a culture of support and togetherness whilst striving to be the best in category.

We design and install renewable energy technologies including ASHP, GSHP, WSHP and Solar PV along with all associated building services.

We work with both Public and Private Sector clients and our projects range from domestic residences through to commercial buildings, leisure centres, and education facilities.

The Head of Project Management is responsible for leading and managing the Project Management function within CEG’s commercial division. This role will ensure the successful delivery of all projects through structured governance, people leadership, programme oversight, and continuous process improvement.

You will oversee a team of Project Managers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to budget, and to the highest quality and in compliance with relevant standards. You will work collaboratively with internal departments including engineering, design and commercial, as well as with external stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching and development to a team of Project Managers, creating a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure consistent application of project management processes, reporting structures, and risk controls across all projects.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex project issues and support Project Managers with stakeholder engagement and commercial negotiations.

  • Monitor overall project performance across the portfolio, intervening as needed to ensure delivery against key KPIs: cost, time, quality, H&;S, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with engineering, commercial and design teams to ensure seamless project lifecycle management from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
  • Lead internal project review meetings and ensure accurate forecasting, progress reporting and contract administration.
  • Support the continual improvement of project delivery systems and documentation.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance, upholding company policies, procedures and statutory regulations.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of delivery capabilities to support business growth and expansion of the commercial portfolio.
