Administrative Accounting Coordinator

We are looking for an organized and self-motivated Administrative Accounting Coordinator to support both financial and office operations for a growing organization in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is a fully onsite position offering the opportunity to take ownership of key bookkeeping, administrative, and office support functions.

The successful candidate will have experience handling accounting-related responsibilities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, stays highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices while ensuring timely and accurate recordkeeping
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Perform account reconciliations and support general bookkeeping functions
  • Maintain financial records and administrative documentation in an organized manner
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding payments, invoices, and account inquiries
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operations
  • Manage incoming communications, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence
  • Assist with reporting, data tracking, and special projects as assigned by leadership
  • Support internal processes and help maintain operational efficiency across the office

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, office administration, or a related role
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
