The role
This is a fixed-term maternity cover opportunity to join our HR team as Global Payroll Supervisor & HR Compliance, reporting directly to the CHRO. You will oversee global payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for our international workforce while guaranteeing full compliance with local and international labor laws, tax regulations, and internal HR policies. You will coordinate the activities of a Junior HR Operations Specialist and consultants, and play a key role in ongoing initiatives to evolve, migrate, and optimize our HR and payroll systems landscape, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in environments of technological change and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee global payroll operations, ensuring accurate calculation of employee salaries, benefits, bonuses, and deductions across multiple country-specific payroll cycles, and resolving any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Delegate tasks effectively, lead and guide the payroll team, and support objective-setting and day-to-day activity management to ensure efficient HR service delivery.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of payroll data in compliance with local and international tax regulations and labor laws.
- Ensure that payroll processes and HR policies are fully compliant with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations (wage and hour laws, tax regulations, benefits, etc.).
- Work closely with legal advisors and leverage legal templates to ensure employment contracts comply with labor laws, tax regulations, and industry standards.
- Ensure that company employment policies (working hours, paid time off, confidentiality, non-compete agreements, etc.) are properly referenced and reflected in contracts and processes..
- Oversee the organisation of onboarding meetings with new hires, presenting employment contract details and administrative processes, and answering questions.
- Manage and contribute to HR system change initiatives, including HRIS migrations, payroll platform transitions, system upgrades, and rollouts of new modules, overseeing data integrity, testing, vendor coordination and end-user adoption.
- Help manage the HRIS, supporting accurate data management, reporting, and optimization of system capabilities.
- Contribute to the optimization and automation of HR processes to improve productivity and employee experience.
- Provide guidance to employees and management on HR policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the CHRO on strategic HR projects and initiatives, and assist in monitoring and evaluating HR operational practices, suggesting improvements and innovations.
