Head of Accounting

Your day-to-day:

• Review existing accounting workflows and propose automation/improvements where appropriate.
• Support the implementation of more unified accounting procedures, chart of accounts and closing practices across group entities.
• Oversee and organise the financial statement preparation process, ensuring the team delivers accurate and timely reports (balance sheet, P&L, disclosures).
• Together with controlling team implement an effective internal control environment and robust reconciliation processes.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Together with Business Central team implement operational improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and structure the accounting team (AP, AR, Payroll, and Entity Accountants), fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Serve as the main contact for tax authorities, and other institutions.

Your skills & experience:

• Experience in accounting, including 2–3 years as Chief Accountant or Accounting Manager.
• Experience improving accounting processes or implementing more consistent practices.
• Experience working with multi‑entity groups (Lithuania + foreign jurisdictions).
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience with Business Central is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and process‑oriented mindset.
• Fluency in Lithuanian and English, both written and spoken.

Salary:

• Gross salary: 5500 - 7200 EUR/month. Keep in mind that we are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and experience.
