Location: Hanover, PA
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay: Starting at $22/hour, with higher rates available based on experience

Position Overview

A growing metal fabrication operation in Hanover, PA is seeking motivated individuals with welding and metal finishing experience to join its production team. This opportunity offers long-term career potential for candidates who demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on custom-fabricated metal components.
  • Grind, finish, and prepare welded assemblies to meet quality standards.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal products such as railings, stair systems, and other structural components.
  • Operate overhead cranes and other shop equipment safely.
  • Inspect completed welds and finished products for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous MIG welding experience.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques, equipment, and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic math and geometry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn new skills and processes quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding certification or formal welding training.
  • Experience fabricating stair stringers, rail systems, porches, or related structural metal products.
  • Background working with miscellaneous metals or custom metal fabrication projects.
