Chest Medicine Associates is seeking a New Patient Referral Coordinator, to be based in the South Portland office.
Requirements of the New Patient Referral Coordinator:
- High school education or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- Experience with referrals preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical office environment and familiarity with electronic medical records are preferred.
- Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday during regular office hours.

Responsibilities of the New Patient Referral Coordinator:
- Sort, prioritize, and organize new, incoming requests for consultations.
- Create charts in electronic medical record (EMR)
- Enter demographic and insurance information into electronic charts.
- Scan documents into chart.
- Ensure the accuracy of patient registration and data entry.
- Schedule new patient appointments accurately with appropriate phone etiquette.
- Enroll patients in portal.
