Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate daily pickup and delivery operations for our trading card distribution business. This role is responsible for managing a fleet of 6 truck drivers delivering products to 4 regional locations, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient transportation of inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing updates, directions, and support throughout the day
- Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules to meet operational deadlines and customer expectations
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery times, and route performance
- Communicate with fulfillment and inventory teams to ensure that all requested movements/shipments/pickups are completed each day
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations
- Optimize routes and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications
- 2+ years of dispatching, logistics, or transportation coordination experience preferred
- Familiarity with routing software, GPS systems, or transportation management systems (TMS)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and make real-time decisions
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards is preferred
