About the role:

The Onboarding Consultant is the person who makes RecordPoint's value promise real for customers. Delivery quality, playbook discipline, and TTFV performance at the specialist level determine customer health trajectories, renewal outcomes, and the scalability of the Onboarding & Delivery function. This role rewards people who take execution quality seriously and who thrive in a structured, outcome-oriented delivery environment.

Onboarding Consultants are the execution layer of RecordPoint's delivery model. They are responsible for the day-to-day onboarding motion — connecting customer data estates, deploying connectors, producing inventory visibility, and driving customers to first value using standard playbooks and templates.

Functional Consultants focus on governance workshop facilitation, charter preparation, and customer-facing delivery activities.

You'll be accountable for:

  • Prepare and run onboarding work packages from charter preparation through first value delivery.

  • Confirm connector inventory and deploy according to the connector deployment playbook.

  • Produce inventory visibility outputs and progress reports at defined milestones.

  • Coordinate deployment blockers with the customer and onboarding lead.

  • Prepare and facilitate the governance charter workshop with the customer, using the standard template.

  • Produce the initial Governance & RM Charter document with customer inputs.

  • Support the CSM with stakeholder mapping and accountability confirmation.

  • Maintain the onboarding activity register and ensure customer sign-off at each stage milestone.

  • Assist with the preparation for Gate 1 (Deployment Readiness) evidence package for Onboarding Lead review.

  • Produce first value evidence for Gate 2 (First Value Achieved) sign-off.

  • Ensure artifacts are complete, accurate, and up to template standards before gate submission.

  • It is expected that customers will required additional configuration, unique to their organisations, which will be delivered post Gate 2 achievement. Business Consultants will play a pivotal role in delivering work which extends the customer along the customer journey beyond the onboarding stage.

  • This role would work with customers to understand their functional needs and provide advise and make recommendations as to how RecordPoint can be configured to meet their requirements

  • The customer may implement the advise on their own, through a partner or engage with RecordPoint directly. This role will be required to support that delivery.

  • Engage with customers to understand their functional needs and provide advice and recommendations on how RecordPoint can be configured to meet those requirements — pre- and post-Gate 2.

  • Translate business requirements into business outcomes; reconcile user requests against true business need.

  • Lead non-standard configuration delivery directly, or support customer/partner-led delivery, to RecordPoint quality standards.

  • Contribute to RecordPoint's standard solution designs, ensuring designs are scalable, maintainable, and aligned to records management and information governance best practice.

  • Collaborate with development and product teams on enhancements or customisations identified through customer engagements.

  • Pressure-test pre-sale assumptions: data estate scope, stakeholder readiness, charter feasibility, and likely first value definition.

  • Produce and accept handover artefacts to a senior standard; surface structured signal back into Sales and the Onboarding Team Lead when handovers fall short.

You'll bring:

  • 5- 7 years experience in SaaS implementation, functional onboarding, or information management delivery.

  • 5 -7 years experience in records management practice — including standards, frameworks, classification and retention design, defensible disposal, and information governance — gained in either practitioner, consulting, or vendor delivery roles.

  • 5+ years in a client-facing consulting or advisory capacity, acting as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience with connector deployment, metadata configuration, or integration tooling.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business goals into configurable, scalable solutions and to articulate ROI and success criteria.

  • Comfortable working within structured playbooks and delivery frameworks.

  • Strong attention to detail and artifact quality, with clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to drive multiple customer initiatives concurrently and partner effectively with Customer Success Managers across the customer lifecycle.

  • Active engagement in records management and information governance industry/practice forums (e.g. RIMPA, ARMA, IRMS, ASA), including speaking, writing, committee participation, or community contribution.

  • Certification or formal study in Records Management, Information Management and/or Business Information Systems

  • Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Exchange, or comparable enterprise content platforms.

  • Experience delivering to regulated-market customers (financial services, government, critical infrastructure).

  • Comfort using AI productivity tools for documentation, configuration, and delivery reporting.
