Business Development Manager (Education Partnerships & Recruitment)

Salary: £40,000 + Uncapped Commission

Sector: Education, Teacher Training & Recruitment

Are you an expert in school recruitment with a proven track record of placing educators and building long-term institutional partnerships?

SCCD Training Ltd is seeking a strategic, results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our growth across school partnerships and trainee placements. This is a high-visibility role designed for a specialist who understands the UK education landscape and thrives on connecting talented trainees with the right school environments.

At SCCD, we don't just train; we provide a career bridge. You will be responsible for securing the partnerships that will allow our trainees to gain vital experience and, ultimately, transition into permanent roles within your partner schools.

Key Responsibilities

1. School Partnership & SLA Acquisition

  • Strategic B2B Sales: Aggressively identify and engage with Headteachers, Trusts (MATs), and School Business Managers to secure new partnerships.
  • Placement Pipelines: Create a consistent flow of placement opportunities for our trainees, focusing on mapping their skills to school vacancies.
  • Teacher Recruitment: Leverage your recruitment background to place qualified trainees and teachers into long-term or permanent roles, ensuring a high "conversion-to-employment" rate.
  • Sponsorship Development: Negotiate and finalize sponsorship agreements with schools and educational bodies to support our growing intake of sponsored learners.

2. Learner Placement & Career Strategy

  • Cohort Management: Work closely with the recruitment team to ensure every trainee is placed in a school that aligns with their career goals and the school's specific needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for Local Authorities and regional education councils to align SCCD programs with local workforce requirements.
  • Market Insight: Stay ahead of Ofsted requirements and Department for Education (DfE) policy changes to ensure SCCD remains a "partner of choice" for schools.

3. Leadership & Performance

  • Departmental Head: Lead, mentor, and scale the Sales and Placement teams, fostering a culture of high energy and "Company-Minded" professionalism.
  • KPI Accountability: Set and monitor rigorous targets for school visits, signed SLAs, and successful learner placements.
  • Reporting: Deliver clear forecasts on the partnership pipeline and placement success rates to the executive team.
