The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, or services for Winbro Group Technologies. They negotiate prices, evaluate supplier reliability, and manage inventory levels to ensure the business operates smoothly, cost-effectively, and without supply disruptions.

Daily role and responsibilities:

• Process production materials through all steps of the supply chain, both internally in our machining facility and externally at sub-contract suppliers.

• Co-ordinate supplier schedules and ensure completion on time, to plan.

• Provide updates to the programme lead on potential issues with production orders.

• Support daily reviews.

• Liaise with Engineering, Production and Quality departments regarding progress and issues.

• Project-based materials ownership.

• Provide accurate costing information and specifications from suppliers.

• Supply chain development.

• Identify, evaluate, and select supplies based on quality, price, and reliability.

• Negotiate prices, terms and conditions to obtain the best quality supply and commercial agreement with suppliers.

• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues (delivery, quality, compliance).

• Develop and maintain high quality trading relationships with suppliers and secure favourable pricing.

• Review purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival.

• As needed, expedite orders or deliveries to meet project requirements.

• Deliver quantifiable cost saving results without compromising quality.

• Work with BOMs and update internal work orders.

• Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
