Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Endocrinologist specialist and/or Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will lead the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with diabetes and complex metabolic disorders, while actively leveraging technology and data to optimize outcomes.
This role combines clinical excellence, innovation, and collaboration, with a strong emphasis on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), remote patient management, and preventive care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Care & Endocrine Management:
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders, including:
- Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
- Obesity and metabolic syndrome
- Thyroid disorders
- Lipid disorders
- PCOS and hormonal imbalances
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Initiate and optimize insulin therapy and advanced pharmacological treatments
- Manage complex and high-risk patients with multidisciplinary input
2. Diabetes Technology & Digital Health:
- Lead the use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), insulin pumps, and digital health tools
- Interpret CGM data, time-in-range, glycemic variability, and trends
- Utilize remote monitoring platforms to proactively manage patients
- Provide data-driven treatment adjustments and feedback
3. Remote Monitoring & Patient Engagement:
- Oversee and actively participate in remote patient monitoring programs
- Review patient data dashboards and intervene proactively
- Provide timely feedback on glucose trends, medications, and lifestyle interventions
- Engage patients through digital platforms to improve adherence and outcomes
4. Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work closely with:
- General Practitioners
- Diabetes educators
- Dietitians & nutritionists
- Health coaches
- Psychologists
- Participate in case discussions and care planning for complex patients
- Contribute to integrated, patient-centric care pathways
5. Preventive & Lifestyle Medicine:
- Promote preventive care and early intervention strategies
- Support patients with:
- Weight management
- Lifestyle modification
- Cardiometabolic risk reduction
6. Quality, Research & Innovation:
- Contribute to clinical audits, outcomes tracking, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support research, publications, and innovation in metabolic care
- Stay up to date with global best practices, guidelines, and emerging technologies
7. Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and clinical governance standards
- Adhere to all infection control and patient safety protocols
