Role:  Film Production Specialist - 6 months

Location:  London, United Kingdom

About the role:

This role will suit an experienced and proactive film production specialist who combines strong technical production capability with calm professionalism, sound judgement and excellent stakeholder management skills. You’ll be part of an established in-house creative team, producing high-quality video content that supports a wide range of internal and strategic communications needs.

You’ll likely have a strong background in film production, shooting, directing and editing, and be comfortable owning the full production lifecycle from early planning and concept development through to final delivery. You’ll need to be confident operating independently on day-to-day projects while also working collaboratively with internal teams, global colleagues and external production partners where required.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be creating and delivering high-quality video content including multi-camera interviews, leadership messages, internal storytelling pieces and campaign films.

The role requires someone who can move comfortably between pre-production planning, on-site filming, directing contributors, managing logistics, editing, post-production and versioning for different channels and audiences.

The workload is likely to be steady and varied, typically involving multiple concurrent briefs rather than a small number of large standalone productions. We’ll want to see evidence of pace, agility and pragmatism in your approach, along with the ability to maintain quality under pressure and manage shifting priorities effectively.

A significant proportion of the role will be hands-on production and post-production delivery — including filming, directing, editing, subtitling, reformatting and versioning content for different digital channels and internal platforms. Alongside this, you’ll also need to bring strong storytelling instincts, visual judgement and a clear understanding of how to apply the client’s Visual Identity, accessibility requirements and compliance standards across all outputs.

You’ll be expected to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business managing feedback cycles, approvals and timelines with professionalism and clarity. Experience using tools such as Frame.io and Workfront will be highly beneficial.

This role also requires close collaboration with colleagues across London and New York, so you’ll need to be comfortable working independently across global time zones and contributing to consistent, unified outputs across distributed teams.

There’s no line management responsibility in the role, but we would expect you to work collaboratively within the wider team, contribute positively to ways of working, and help maintain strong standards across production workflows, asset management and file organisation.

What you will be doing:

  • Film production & direction
    • Leading the full lifecycle of film production, from concept development through to final delivery
    • Planning, shooting and directing high-quality video content including multi-camera interviews, leadership messages and campaign films
    • Managing all practical production logistics including location setup, equipment preparation, teleprompter use and on-site coordination
    • Directing contributors and stakeholders confidently to achieve strong on-camera performance and polished final outputs
    • Ensuring all filmed content aligns to brand, accessibility and compliance requirements
  • Editing & post-production
    • Owning end-to-end editing of film content using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects
    • Producing polished final outputs including branded subtitled versions, social adaptations, digital channel cutdowns and caption files
    • Applying strong design sensibility across storytelling, framing, pacing, audio and colour
    • Managing versioning and formatting for multiple internal and external digital platforms
    • Ensuring post-production workflows are efficient, organised and consistently delivered to a high standard
  • Stakeholder partnership & project delivery
    • Working closely with senior stakeholders across different areas to develop and deliver effective film content
    • Managing feedback cycles, timelines, amends and approvals with clarity, professionalism and strong attention to detail
    • Using platforms such as Frame.io and Workfront to support review, collaboration and project tracking
    • Building trusted relationships with senior leaders and internal clients, ensuring confidence throughout the production process
    • Collaborating with global colleagues, primarily across London and New York, to ensure joined-up delivery and consistency of output
  • Cross-functional collaboration
    • Partnering with colleagues across different internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project delivery
    • Supporting best-practice workflows across asset management, file organisation, collaborative review processes and delivery standards
    • Working collaboratively within a wider in-house creative and communications environment to deliver integrated outputs
    • Contributing proactively to continuous improvement across production processes and team ways of working
  • Decision-making & autonomy
    • Operating with autonomy across day-to-day filming, editing and production decisions within agreed brand and governance frameworks
    • Taking ownership of quality, accuracy, technical execution and consistency across all deliverables
    • Escalating project risks, scheduling issues or complex stakeholder challenges appropriately
    • Bringing solutions-focused thinking and calm judgement to fast-paced production environments

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Proven experience in film production, including directing, camera operation and lighting
  • Proven end-to-end production capability across pre-and post-production, filming, editing and final delivery
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality films under tight timelines and to stakeholder requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior leaders and internal stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with a meticulous approach to managing project files, assets and deliverables
  • Experience managing filming logistics including location setup, equipment preparation and teleprompter use
  • Familiarity with subtitling, caption workflows and accessibility requirements
  • Comfort working independently across global time zones while collaborating with distributed teams
  • Strong creative judgement and storytelling sensibility across visual composition, pacing, audio and colour
  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled film and design tooling
  • Experience producing content across both in-person and hybrid (remote + onsite) shoots
  • Digital design capability
  • Stills photography experience
  • Experience using Frame.io, Workfront or similar collaborative review and workflow tools
  • Experience working within a highly governed brand environment
  • Calm and professional: brings composure, professionalism and problem-solving energy to fast-paced environments
  • Collaborative approach: works positively across multiple teams and functions, building strong and trusted working relationships
  • Creative and curious: brings strong storytelling instincts and a desire to keep pushing quality and craft forward, particularly through the lens of the client’s new Visual Identity
  • Organised and detail-oriented: highly structured in managing files, workflows, approvals and delivery across multiple live projects
  • Flexible and adaptable: able to move between planning, filming, editing and stakeholder management while responding to changing priorities
  • Confident communicator: able to engage credibly with senior stakeholders, give clear direction during shoots and manage feedback professionally
