About the Role

An early-stage B2B SaaS startup building an AI-native procurement intelligence platform is looking for a Founding Product Engineer. The company is replacing fragmented, manual procurement workflows at large industrial enterprises with autonomous AI agents that benchmark suppliers, analyse cost drivers, and surface negotiation leverage — turning strategic procurement into a true cognitive function.

You will be one of the earliest engineers on the team, operating with significant scope and direct impact on the product. Enterprise customers are already asking for capabilities faster than the team can ship them — your work will directly shape what gets built and how quickly.

What You'll Do

  • Own features end-to-end: from UX design and frontend implementation through backend services to prompt engineering and LLM integration.

  • Prototype rapidly and iterate based on direct feedback from high-value enterprise users.

  • Design and build sophisticated agent pipelines that feel invisible and intuitive to the end user.

  • Sit close to real users, translating their behaviour and feedback into product experiences that land.

  • Operate across the full stack — frontend, backend, and LLM workflows — wherever the problem takes you.

  • Work in fast cycles with serious scope alongside a small, high-conviction team in Berlin.

What We're Looking For

  • Fullstack TypeScript — strong proficiency is required.

  • Demonstrable ability to work with LLMs: prompting, fine-tuning, and integrating them into real, production-grade products. Evidence through professional work, side projects, or hackathons is valued highly.

  • Strong product taste and creative instincts — you care deeply about what makes a user experience actually work.

  • High agency and outcome-driven mindset — you find a way rather than waiting for permission.

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity: fast prototyping, sharp instincts, and relentless iteration without a playbook.

  • Genuine excitement about working in person with a small team to build something exceptional.

  • All experience levels considered (roughly 1–10 years); mindset, track record, and learning velocity matter most.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise tooling, or workflow automation.

  • Exposure to procurement, supply chain, or related industrial domains.

  • Past founding, early-stage startup, or hackathon experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: €90,000 – €140,000 per year, depending on experience.

  • Early-stage equity opportunity.

  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

This role is based on-site / hybrid in Berlin, Germany. You should be excited about working in person with the team regularly. Remote-only candidates will not be considered.
