Rayo, part of the UBDS group, is seeking an SC Cleared, Full-Stack Developer to contribute to the development and support of cloud-native applications deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The successful candidate will work across the full software development lifecycle, combining strong Python back-end development with modern front-end engineering using React and TypeScript.

This role offers the opportunity to support, design, and build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for high-impact public sector programmes, working within an Agile delivery environment.

The position is suitable for candidates with foundational full-stack experience, as well as those with deeper technical capability who are looking to further progress their careers within cloud-native and Agile teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack solutions hosted on AWS.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs using Python-based back-end frameworks.
  • Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
  • Work with AWS serverless and managed services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, and Simple Queue Service (SQS).
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, including automated testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps, Quality Assurance, and platform teams to ensure high-quality, secure delivery.
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain technical and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across the full technology stack.
