About the role

We’re looking for an IT Domain Architect to join us here at Snappi. The IT Domain Architect leads the end-to-end delivery of new products and strategic projects within their domain, translating business objectives into secure, scalable technical solutions. As the single point of architectural accountability, the role partners with development, product, compliance, legal, security and infrastructure teams to ensure solutions are well-designed, fully documented and operationally ready for handover to production support.

The position is available at both our Ioannina and Athens offices.

What you'll be doing

Solution Delivery & Project Coordination

  • Lead architectural definition and delivery of domain projects from concept to production handover.
  • Translate business, compliance, and legal requirements into clear technical solutions and target architectures.
  • Act as the lead technical counterpart for third-party providers (SaaS vendors, integration and specialist partners), managing dependencies, risks and escalations.
  • Coordinate across multiple development teams to ensure consistent implementation and serve as the primary technical contact for Project Managers, Engineering Managers and Product Owners.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Partner with product to balance business value, time-to-market, cost and maintainability.
  • Engage compliance, legal, security and infrastructure teams to align solutions with regulatory, security and enterprise standards.
  • Facilitate architecture review boards and design forums; communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Standards, Security & Infrastructure

  • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles, security standards and infrastructure guidelines.
  • Embed security- and privacy-by-design (IAM, encryption, secrets management, logging, monitoring) and validate that integrations meet authentication, authorization and audit requirements.
  • Contribute to the evolution of architecture standards, patterns and reference designs.

Documentation & Technical Artefacts

  • Produce and maintain high- and low-level designs, integration specs, data flows, API contracts and architecture diagrams (logical, deployment, network, data, security).
  • Author runbooks, operational handbooks and SOPs; document NFRs, SLOs, capacity assumptions and known limitations.
  • Keep all artefacts version-controlled and accessible in agreed knowledge repositories.

Production Handover & Operational Readiness

  • Drive operational readiness (monitoring, alerting, backup, DR, support tooling) before go-live.
  • Lead handover to production/support teams, run knowledge-transfer sessions, and define go-live checklists, hypercare and post-implementation reviews.
  • Provide architectural support during early life in production and feed lessons learned into future designs.
