About the role
We are looking for a Lead API Engineer to help design and evolve the API and integration landscape behind a modern connectivity and network services platform.
This role is primarily hands-on engineering with additional ownership around API design, integration architecture, and cross-team engineering standards. You will work across greenfield platform capabilities and selected modernization efforts, building scalable backend systems and integrations that connect internal platforms, external providers, and business-critical systems.
You will operate in a polyglot environment centered around C#/.NET, TypeScript, and Python, with Salesforce playing an important role in the broader systems landscape. Our infrastructure stack is AWS-based and strongly API-driven, with both REST and GraphQL playing important roles across the platform.
We are looking for a pragmatic senior engineer who combines strong implementation capability with architectural judgment and product awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs and backend systems using C#/.NET, TypeScript, and related technologies
- Help shape and evolve API standards, integration patterns, and engineering best practices across teams
- Design and implement REST and GraphQL APIs that support both platform integrations and frontend application experiences
- Build integrations between internal systems, external providers, and Salesforce-based business workflows
- Contribute to API lifecycle management, including versioning, authentication and authorization, observability, security, and reliability
- Collaborate closely with product, platform, and engineering teams to shape practical technical solutions
- Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making
- Contribute to both greenfield development and modernization of existing systems
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, design discussions, and code reviews
