Join the AI revolution. We're building an all-in-one AI platform to help teams do their best work and automate every routine task imaginable. We're looking for a sharp, strategic legal mind who can shape how we operate, grow, and stay ahead of one of the most complex regulatory environments in tech.
This is a high-ownership, hands-on role at the intersection of law, technology, and business strategy. You'll be nexos.ai's primary legal authority - rolling up your sleeves on the day-to-day while advising leadership, protecting the business, and gradually building a legal team around you.
Main responsibilities
Own and direct the company's legal strategy across all areas: corporate, contractual, commercial, employment, litigation, compliance, data privacy, and regulatory affairs
Develop and execute legal strategy to proactively enable business growth and protect nexos.ai's interests
Provide legal guidance on AI-related compliance, data privacy, and evolving regulatory frameworks - translating complexity into clear, actionable direction
Review, draft, and negotiate high-stakes commercial contracts, including agreements with major LLM providers and enterprise clients
Counsel senior decision makers and the Board on legal risk, governance, and compliance
Monitor AI regulatory developments globally and position the company to respond proactively
Implement procedures and policies to ensure compliance with all relevant local and international laws across all jurisdictions we operate in
Collaborate closely with Product, Finance, HR, and other teams to build integrated, scalable business processes
Manage and optimise relationships with outside counsel to ensure cost-effective and high-quality representation
Maintain expert-level knowledge of legal developments in AI, big data, privacy, and the broader technology sector
Start as the primary legal resource and build the legal team around you as the company scales
Core requirements
Master's degree in Law
At least 10 years of experience as in-house counsel or in a law firm, covering a broad range of legal fields (commercial/IP/IT)
Proven experience managing a company's in-house legal function or owning a legal desk at a mid-to-large law firm
Deep expertise in commercial/IP/IT law; privacy and regulatory law (GDPR, EU AI Act) is a strong advantage
Experience in a tech-native company with an understanding of SaaS, AI, and digital business models - or having worked extensively with such clients in a law firm
Proven ability to work as a strategic partner to top management and the Board - not just an advisor, but a decision-maker
Comfortable being the main legal resource and getting things done yourself - this is a hands-on role, not a purely managerial one
Confidence to stand by decisions and push the right agenda for the business while mitigating risks at all times
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both Lithuanian and English
Based in Vilnius or open to working on-site
Salary Range
Gross Salary starting from 7000 eu/month.
