Position Overview

We are seeking a Materials Planning & Procurement Coordinator to support manufacturing operations through effective planning, purchasing, inventory management, and material coordination. This role is responsible for helping maintain a steady flow of materials to support production schedules while ensuring inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a manufacturing environment, strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain material plans that support manufacturing and production requirements.
  • Manage purchasing activities for production materials, components, and operational supplies.
  • Monitor material movement throughout the manufacturing process, from procurement and receiving through assembly and shipment preparation.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to maintain inventory records and support production scheduling activities.
  • Partner with production, operations, warehouse, and inventory teams to ensure materials are available when required.
  • Source and procure manufacturing components, including electrical materials such as wiring, cabling, meters, and related products.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, planning, and inventory data within company systems.
  • Investigate and resolve supply chain issues, including shortages, delayed deliveries, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory levels and support efforts to improve material flow and planning efficiency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement, inventory control, and production planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, production planning, material planning, inventory management, or a related supply chain function.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP software such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, material requirements planning (MRP), and production scheduling processes.
  • Experience sourcing and purchasing manufacturing materials and electrical components.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS certification or other relevant supply chain credential.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
