We are now looking for a talented Electronics Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge RF and communications products.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Systems Engineering, you will play a key role in the design and development of advanced analogue and digital electronic systems.

Working in a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate with RF, software, and firmware engineers to deliver high-performance solutions for applications including telecommunications, space, defence, and high-altitude platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of designs from concept through to volume manufacture, working with modern tools and innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Electronic Design & Development

  • Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits, including mixed-signal systems
  • Create signal conditioning circuits, filters, amplifiers, and power supply modules
  • Develop digital systems using microprocessors, ADCs, DACs, and associated logic
  • Produce detailed specifications, perform simulation, and support component selection
  • Capture schematics and define PCB requirements, including materials and stack-up

Systems Integration & Testing

  • Work with interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, CAN bus, I²C, and SPI
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and communication issues
  • Perform system-level integration, verification, and validation testing
  • Prepare test specifications, reports, and reliability assessments

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate across hardware, software, firmware, and RF teams
  • Participate in and lead design reviews to mitigate risks
  • Support product introduction, fault diagnosis, and diagnostic processes
  • Manage component obsolescence and recommend alternatives
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry standards

Reliability & Performance

    • Conduct thermal analysis, MTBF calculations, and tolerance analysis
    • Ensure designs meet performance, cost, quality, and manufacturability targets
