About the role
Key responsibilities of this position include the following:
1. Contract Negotiation & Commercial Management of Lab Services
- Lead pricing discussions and commercial negotiations
- Negotiate:
- MSAs (Master Service Agreements)
- CDAs/NDAs
- Statements of Work
- Service agreements
- Vendor/service contracts
- Work closely with Key Account Managers, Service Fulfillment, Finance, Operations, and scientific teams
- Standardise and optimise the commercial contract workflow, including the creation and optimization of MSA, SOW, and pricing templates
- Act as the handshake between Commercial and Lab Services teams; proactively updating the resource plan as opportunities progress through the sales pipeline to ensure capacity alignment and seamless project handoffs
- Balance profitability with client relationship management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and procurement requirements
2. Client Relationship Management
- Manage and build relationships with key accounts and renewals
- Drive repeat business and long-term partnerships
- Act as executive sponsor for major clients
- Maintain data integrity by using Salesforce to log client interactions, track contract progression, and maintain an accurate record of account health to support long-term partnerships, repeat business and funnel management
3. Proposal, Bid & RFP Management
- Lead proposal strategy and bid responses
- Coordinate technical/scientific inputs
- Develop tailored client solutions
- Manage timelines for complex bids
- Prepare commercial models and pricing structures
