About Assembled

Great customer support requires human agents and AI in perfect balance, and Assembled is the only unified platform that orchestrates both at scale. Companies like Canva, Etsy, and Robinhood use Assembled to coordinate their entire support operation — in-house agents, BPOs, and AI — in a single operating system. With AI Agents that resolve cases end-to-end, AI Copilot for agent assistance, and AI-powered workforce management that optimizes both human and AI capacity, Assembled helps teams deliver faster, better service while making smarter decisions about how to staff and automate. Backed by $71M from NEA, Emergence Capital, and Stripe, we're building the platform that makes AI and human collaboration actually work.

The role

Assembled is thoughtfully scaling our team and looking for a Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, product, and design. We focus on no more than 3 open roles at a time, close quickly, and then move to the next highest priority. We have a culture of true partnership with hiring managers, who are often deeply involved in sharpening target profiles and creative sourcing. Our whole team, from engineers to founders, is invested in success, with over 20% of technical hires last year coming through referral.

We're in-person 5 days a week from our bright, airy offices in the Mission (San Francisco) and Chelsea Market (New York).

What you'll own

  • Own 3 searches at a time end-to-end including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and close.

  • Run a candidate experience that's a competitive advantage. Candidates and hiring managers always know where things stand.

  • Build sourcing channels that compound. Referrals, niche communities, and engineering brand efforts have outperformed purely cold outbound.

  • Use data to drive strategy across the funnel, measuring pass-through rates, time-to-fill, sourcing effectiveness, and offer acceptance.

  • Improve our interview process. We're not precious about how it works today — we want someone who drives changes, not just flags them.

About you

  • 5+ years of full-cycle experience, preferably closing technical roles in startups.

  • An instigator and enthusiast. You're the person in your friend group that proposes new adventures and gets everyone else excited.

  • Detail-oriented. You're an effective communicator and keep candidates and hiring managers in the loop. Typos annoy you.

  • Strong judge of character and potential. You have a sharp read on people and can articulate why someone will or won't work, not just whether they passed the rubric.

  • AI-pilled. You use AI creatively in your day-to-day and you can name the specific tools and workflows you've built.

  • Closer. You know what it takes to close candidates against bigger, flashier, better-paying companies. You can sell mission, learning, equity, scope, and pace.

Our U.S. benefits

  • Generous medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • Paid company holidays, sick time, and unlimited time off

  • Monthly credits to spend on each: professional development, general wellness, Assembled customers, and commuting

  • Paid parental leave

  • Catered lunches every day (M-F) and fully stocked kitchen

  • 401(k) plan enrollment

The estimated base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000 per year. The base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options are provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

We know great candidates don’t always meet every requirement listed in a job description. If the role excites you and you believe you can make an impact at Assembled, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and are committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone feels like they belong and has the opportunity to do their best work. We look forward to hearing from you!
