In addition to our recent growth in Federal Civilian agencies, we are seeking to expand our capabilities in cloud development and footprint in national-security focused agencies within the Department of Defense and U.S. Intelligence Community.
We are seeking experienced Technical Writers / Communication Specialists to support strategic messaging, content development, and communications initiatives within a federal environment. The ideal candidates will possess strong technical writing expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and impactful deliverables for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and maintain high-quality technical and strategic communication materials.
- Prepare formal reports, memoranda, directives, newsletters, standard operating procedures (SOPs), project management plans, briefing materials, job aids, checklists, talking points, and ready-to-send communications.
- Create presentations, briefing decks, and executive-level materials for leadership and stakeholder engagements.
- Translate complex technical or operational concepts into user-friendly and visually engaging content using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Support strategic messaging and communication planning initiatives.
- Ensure all communication products comply with organizational standards, policies, and quality assurance requirements.
- Conduct quality reviews of written deliverables to ensure consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Assist with process mapping, workflow documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with project teams, leadership, and stakeholders to gather information and develop communication products.
- Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Provide analytical, consulting, and facilitation support for communication and documentation efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience performing technical writing and communication support activities within Federal or State agencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce professional reports, memoranda, and correspondence.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical writing with strong attention to detail and document quality.
- Experience developing presentations and briefing materials for executive and high-level audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 or later, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simplified and effective manner.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, consulting, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in process mapping and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while working effectively within a team environment.
- Professional, personable demeanor with strong tact and diplomacy skills.
Clearance
- CBP BI Clearance preferred.
Pay: $90,000 to $135,000 per year
