Welder/Fitter – TIG Welding (Aluminum & Stainless)

Location: Hanover, PA
Shift: First Shift | Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays and extended hours based on production needs
Compensation: Starting at $24/hour+ (depending on experience and skill level)

Position Summary

A fast-paced fabrication and manufacturing environment is seeking a skilled Precision Metal Fabricator with strong TIG welding experience in aluminum and stainless steel. This role combines hands-on welding, fabrication, fitting, and assembly work to produce custom metal components and specialty structures.

The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and producing clean, high-quality finished products while working efficiently within a production setting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless-steel materials while maintaining high-quality weld standards
  • Fabricate and assemble custom-built components including frames, railings, and specialty fabricated structures
  • Measure, position, align, and fit materials prior to welding and final assembly
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated assemblies to verify accuracy and compliance with specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production instructions
  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, and related shop tools
  • Troubleshoot alignment, fit-up, and welding issues during fabrication processes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production workspace
  • Move materials and finished products using pallet jacks or appropriate material-handling equipment
  • Follow established welding safety practices and shop procedures
  • Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality workmanship
  • Adapt to changing workloads, schedules, and production priorities as needed

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated TIG welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel materials
  • Ability to accurately read blueprints, measurements, and fabrication drawings
  • Experience using fabrication tools and metalworking equipment
  • Basic math skills related to measurements and shop calculations
  • Ability to troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues independently
  • Comfortable working in a production-driven manufacturing environment
