The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems across multiple live construction sites and office operations. The role is hybrid, involving regular site inspections alongside office-based reporting, coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will work closely with project managers, site supervisors, installers, and clients to ensure all insulation works meet contractual specifications, building regulations, and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Site-Based Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure insulation installations comply with:
    • Project specifications and drawings
    • Building regulations and relevant standards
    • Manufacturer installation guidelines
  • Identify defects, non-conformances, and poor workmanship and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly
  • Carry out pre-handover inspections and snagging
  • Support site teams with technical guidance and best-practice installation methods
  • Liaise with main contractors, clients, and consultants regarding quality issues
  • Monitor workmanship consistency across crews and projects

Office-Based Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Prepare and maintain:
    • Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
    • Quality checklists and site inspection reports
    • Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective action logs
  • Review project documentation to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined
  • Analyse quality trends, defects, and rework to drive continuous improvement
  • Assist with audits (internal and external) and ensure audit readiness
  • Support training initiatives to improve installer competency and quality awareness

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Building regulations
    • Health & Safety requirements (in collaboration with H&S personnel)
    • Company quality policies and procedures
  • Recommend improvements to installation methods, materials, and processes
  • Stay up to date with changes in regulations, standards, and insulation products
